The Sybase ASIQ North American Users' Group

The IQ users' group is a collection of Sybase customers using the ASIQ product. The group's purpose is to share information and experiences in using Sybase IQ. The group started early in 1998 from a list of ASIQ users provided by Sybase, and has grown since then.

While the group is not sponsored by Sybase Inc. and is a users' group in every sense of the word, several Sybase employees participate on a regular basis in the group, and their contributions are invaluable.

The Users' Group Mailing List

An Email server has been set up for the group's use. It can be used to direct messages to all members of the group by simply sending a message to the list's address, iqug@dssolutions.com. The list server is hosted by Distributed Systems Solutions Inc in Chandler, Arizona. DSSI is a Sybase applications and systems integrator and a user of Sybase IQ for its enterprise data warehousing projects.

The mailing list is maintained by Ron Watkins of DSSI. If you have any updates please let Ron know. The mailing list can be accessed via the following email addresses:
iqug-help@dssolutions.com - gives reply email listing quite a number of things they can do.
iqug-subscribe@dssolutions.com - subscribes them after they follow the info in the reply email.
iqug-unsubscribe@dssolutions.com - unsubscribes them after they follow the info in the reply email.

Membership List

The members' email list is not distributed nor used by software vendors for the purposes of contacting potential customers. Exceptions to this would be vendors who use the product in their own company's internal work.
